Carri Allen Jones MD, is a physician scientist who has experience in operations management and design of cross-functional teams in health and medicine. She is a thoughtful critical thinker with a keen interest in developing social health innovations, which embrace scientific rigor for human enhancement and safety.
In addition to her role as Chief Science Officer at X Tech Ventures, she remains an active clinician and surgeon. She is Director of Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine and Orthobiologics at Remedy Medical Group and Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Peninsula Orthopedics in the Bay Area. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, and Pain Medicine. She is fellowship trained in stem cell tissue engineering and regenerative application in neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions.
Dr. Jones has several decades of experience in point of care medical diagnostics and interventional treatment for a wide range of disorders, injuries, and degenerative conditions involving the spine and neuromusculoskeletal system. She directs teams of care for collaborative treatment, rehabilitation, and functional restoration of injured workers, athletes, and an array of developmental to degenerative conditions.
Currently, she is involved with the public health school at University of California at Berkeley, and attended Stanford for design thinking and social entrepreneurship. Her cross sector involvement in basic science, clinical work, and social health innovation design and strategy, provides a unique facet to the X Tech team. She provides fluid interpersonal communication between technologists, medical providers, and corporate partners. She emphasizes the empathic work in the continuum of the design process, while analyzing and using data for thoughtful decision priority in product, process, and iteration.
